Estimate only. Use the mix design unit weight and the plans and specs for your job.

The problem

The answers crews need are buried in spec books, plan sets, and somebody's notebook.

Math on the tailgate

Tonnage, yardage, and steel get worked out on scrap paper or a phone calculator, and one slipped decimal costs a truckload.

1,000-page spec books

Finding the right TxDOT item, density requirement, or temperature limit takes time nobody has with a paver waiting.

Knowledge walks off the job

Experienced hands retire, and new foremen learn rolling patterns and yield checks the hard way.

What it does

Built by a highway construction professional for real field conditions.

HMA tonnage & yield

Tons from length, width, and depth, plus a running yield check against what's been laid.

Base & dirt yardage

Cubic yards, truckloads, and tons for base, embankment, and excavation, with swell and shrink factors.

Rebar takeoff & cut list

Bar count, total length with laps from your plans, and weight in pounds and tons, plus a cut list.

Concrete

Cubic yards for slabs, walls, footings, and columns, with a waste factor you set.

Rolling patterns & compaction

Plan your passes and roller coverage, and track density targets.

TxDOT spec lookup

Ask a question in plain English and get the answer with the spec item and section it came from.

Plan sheet scan & takeoff Coming soon

Snap a photo or upload a PDF of a typical section or quantity table, then check the AI takeoff against the plans.

Which specs does it cover?

We're starting with TxDOT's Standard Specifications. Spec answers include the item and section so you can check the source yourself.

Will it work on my phone in the field?

Yes. It's built mobile-first for phones and tablets, with big buttons for gloved hands.

When does it launch?

Waitlist members get early access first. Join and we'll let you know.

Is it affiliated with TxDOT?

No. HighwayForeman is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by TxDOT or any agency.
